In September 2008, a renown business analysis organization (International Institute of Business Analysis) released the highest recognition that can be given to a Business Analyst. In line with the PMP and other well recognized certifications, the CBAP®is a non-vendor specific certification. Its purpose is to recognize competent professionals in the world of Business Analysis. Though it is new to the market, this certification has gained momentum by being offered across the globe through multiple testing centers.Many fortune 500 companies are already looking to hire recipients of the CBAP®.
The exam is based on the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge(BABOK), which is published by IIBA. The current version is 1.6 with the release of 2.0 by the end of March 2009.
Today, there are only a little over 800 CBAP®recipients in the world. What a great time to get certified and gain a competitive edge in your career.
